GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Greenville woman charged in a head-on crash that killed a motorcyclist near the Gerald R. Ford International Airport will spend a year on probation.
Andrijana Masnica appeared in 63rd District Court Monday to be sentenced on a charge of moving violation causing death. A sentence of a year in jail was suspended, so Masnica will instead serve a yar on probation.
The charge stemmed from the Sept. 17 crash that killed 58-year-old Michael Wilberding. Investigators said he was leaving aircraft viewing area of Ford Airport when he was hit and killed on Kraft Avenue near 52nd Street in Cascade Township.
Masnica, who was driving a Pontiac G6 at the time of the crash, was not injured.
She pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge on March 15.
