WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — The strong winds whipping through West Michigan Thursday also took their toll on a Walker police cruiser.

The public safety department posted a photo of the cruiser with shattered passenger side windows where a tree branch had pierced the glass.

In the Facebook post, Walker police say the corporal who drives the Chevrolet Tahoe is OK.

Officers in Walker were helping the city’s department of public works remove fallen trees and debris that had been blown by the strong winds Thursday.
