Deputies search for suspect in bakery robbery

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for a suspect who robbed a bakery in Kent County Monday morning.

Kent County dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8 that it happened shortly after 6 a.m. at Bostwick Bakery, located at 4029 Plainfield Avenue NE near the Jupiter Avenue NE intersection in Plainfield Township.

The suspect was wearing all black and armed with a weapon, but dispatchers said it’s unclear what was used during the robbery. He was last seen on a bicycle, heading southbound on Plainfield Avenue.

Dispatchers described the suspect as a man in his 30s and around 5-foot-10.

It’s unclear if the suspect was able to get away with any cash or items.
