ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — CityFlatsHotel plans to build a new boutique hotel in Ada.
If approved, the hotel announced Tuesday morning would go up along River Street in Ada Village, near the Thornapple River.
At 37,297 square feet, the street level would contain lounge space, the second floor rooms, and the top floor meeting rooms and event space. There are also plans to add a rooftop deck. Charter House Innovations will work with Ada-based Dixon Architecture and contractor First Companies to design 24 hotel rooms.
Ada Township still needs to approve the plan, which is expected to go to the planning commission late next month. Developers hope to break ground next year.
“This is an incredible next step in our ongoing Envision Ada Village project,” Ada Township Supervisor George Haga said in a statement. “A boutique hotel will support a number of local business needs, while providing a quaint destination for visitors to our area parks, riverfront, and retail shopping experiences.”
CityFlats also has hotels in Holland, Grand Rapids and Port Huron.
