CANNON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The person accused of robbing a store with a knife Friday night was arrested Sunday, the Kent County Sheriff’s Department says.

Authorities tell 24 Hour News 8 that deputies were dispatched to Baily’s General Store at 6051 Belding Rd. just before 10 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.

The robber entered the store and demanded money, threatening the clerk with a knife. No one was hurt.

Authorities said a suspect was found and jailed Sunday afternoon. His name was withheld pending arraignment, which could happen as early as Monday.
