1 seriously injured in Wyoming crash

Kent County

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was injured after a three-vehicle crash in Wyoming.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Byron Center Avenue and 36th Street.

Wyoming police say an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu ran a red light, colliding with a pickup truck in the intersection. The impact of the crash sent the pickup truck airborne, at which point it landed on the Malibu and a northbound Chevrolet Impala.

Police say the driver of the Malibu suffered serious injuries, but officers say those injuries are not life-threatening. No one else was injured, including a 3-year-old who was riding in the Impala.

The scene was cleared around 8 p.m.
