KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A person who was hospitalized with a gunshot wound was also arrested for carjacking Thursday, police say.
The shooting happened around 6 p.m. in the 800 block N. Rose Street near Frank Street, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said in a release. Police were called about the shooting and received another call about a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of W Frank Street.
A 27-year-old from Kalamazoo soon showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound, KDPS said. That person is expected to survive.
Investigators say that person is a suspect in both the shooting and the carjacking. After the suspect’s injuries were treated, they were arrested on multiple charges.
