Driver hits home, vehicle in Kalamazoo; no arrests

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo police are looking for a driver who crashed into a home while people were inside.

Officers patrolling the area of W. North Street and N. Church Street heard the crash just before 3 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived at the scene, the found a vehicle had hit another vehicle before driving into an occupied home.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says no one was injured in the collisions, but the home and vehicle were significantly damaged.

The driver that caused the crashes ran from the scene before officers pulled up. He’s described as a black man in his 20s who is wearing a blue shirt and dark pants. Witnesses said he had dreadlocks that were pulled back.
