GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Bridge Street on Grand Rapids’ West Side will close for a week starting Monday.
Bridge Street will be closed between Seward and Broadway avenues. The closure will go into place 8 a.m. Monday until 4 p.m. Friday.
The closure is for work for the redevelopment of the former Red Lion site. Developers need to close Bridge Street to dig a trench across the road to connect to underground utilities, according to the city.
Posted tours will be north on Seward, east on Second Street and south on Broadway for eastbound traffic. For westbound traffic, the detour will be north on Broadway, west on Third Street and south on Seward.
