GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The rear axles of a semi-truck trailer became detached on a Grand Rapids street Monday evening.
It happened on S. Division Avenue near Wealthy Street.
Grand Rapids police say the tires became caught on a fire hydrant as the truck turned a corner and were pulled away from the trailer. The trailer could be seen resting on its front legs and the rear guard bar.
The southbound lanes of Division were blocked while crews cleaned up and moved the trailer, but traffic was moving around it. The scene was cleared before 8:30 p.m.
No one was hurt.
