GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Eight months after returning to downtown Grand Rapids, Russo’s International Market is getting ready to close.
Russo’s downtown store will close on May 31. The grocery store made the announcement on Facebook Friday, thanking customers for their business.
Russo’s International Market moved back into downtown Grand Rapids to open its second store at 241 West Fulton Street on September 24. Before that, the site was home to Bagger Dave’s.
The original Russo’s, known as GB Russo Importer, opened in Grand Rapids in the early 1900s. The family owned grocery store made several moves, ending up on 29th Street.
Russo’s says its 29th Street location will remain open.
