GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Silent Observer is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to a person of interest in the murders of two women in Grand Rapids.
Police want to talk to Derrell Brown in connection to the March 13 shooting deaths of 25-year-old Keyona Griffin and 47-year-old Cherletta Baber-Bey. Their bodies were found inside a home in the 500 block of Sheldon Avenue near Buckley Street SE after someone inside the home called 911.
Police say Brown had been dating Baber-Bay and he also lived at the home where the murders happened.
Brown is wanted on a felony charge of receiving and concealing a stolen weapon. A judge last week granted a nationwide extradition request, meaning no matter where in the country Brown is found, he must be extradited back to Grand Rapids.
Brown, who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, goes by a number of aliases, including Darryl Robinson, Carter Brown, Derrick Brown, Michael Richardson, Marcus Wright and Jay.
Anyone with information leading to Brown is encouraged to call Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
