GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on the city’s northeast side early Sunday morning.
It happened around 4:45 a.m. near the intersection of Lafeyette Avenue NE and Coldbrook Street NE.
Police told News 8 they were at an unrelated traffic stop when a large house party was breaking up and officers heard shots being fired.
A perimeter was briefly set up around a house on Lafayette. It is unclear if anyone was injured during the incident.
GRPD says this incident is still under investigation.
