GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Plainfield Avenue in Grand Rapids has reopened following a crash involving a Rapid bus.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Plainfield Avenue at I-96, east of the Fuller Avenue intersection.

It’s unclear what led to the crash.

Both directions of Plainfield Avenue were closed at I-96 for nearly two hours as authorities worked to clear the scene. The road has since reopened.
