Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash in Kent County

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist is in the hospital after he went off the road early Sunday morning.

It happened just after 1 a.m. on Division Avenue near 100th Street east of US-131. 

Police say a 38-year-old man was going too fast and lost control, driving off the road. He was taken to Metro Health Hospital. His condition was unknown Later Sunday.

It is also unknown if the driver was wearing a helmet. Authorities are unsure if drugs or alcohol played a role in this crash.
