GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Police Department said there was no immediate credible threat found at the Grand Rapids Public Museum Saturday.
Police say the threat, which alluded to a shooting at the museum on Pearl Street NW, was made on Facebook. The museum says it was made on an event post it is hosting in January.
Authorities were made aware of the threat around 1 p.m. Saturday. Later Saturday, GRPD Lt. Terry Dixon said there was no immediate threat found.
Grand Rapids Public Museum staff told 24 Hour News 8 the messages have been removed.
