GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews will soon begin work to change Sheldon Boulevard SE in downtown Grand Rapids into a two-way street.
Both sides of the boulevard between Fulton and Cherry streets are currently for southbound traffic. Starting Monday, it will be converted to serve traffic in both directions.
In addition, construction starting next week will shut down Sheldon at Weston Street. The improvements include resurfacing, new sidewalks and underground utility work.
In preparation for the traffic conversion and construction, no parking will be allowed on the east side of the boulevard median between Friday and Tuesday. Parking will be available again after all traffic signs are switched.
***CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly listed the closure on Western Street, not Weston Street. We regret this error, which has since been corrected.***
