GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The city of Grand Rapids has set a date for its first medical marijuana business application lottery drawing.
The lottery will determine the order in which the city Planning Commission will discuss and vote on applications to start a medical marijuana-related shop.
It will include the first round of applications, which were submitted by March 15. The city says there were 89, 82 of which were for provisioning centers and the remainder of which were for grows, mostly alongside dispensaries or processing labs. You can see the applications on the city’s medical marijuana webpage.
The city has not yet made any decisions on whether to allow recreational marijuana shops.
