GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A former Grand Rapids Catholic Central student has been found guilty of sexual assault.

Cameron Cross, 18, was convicted Tuesday of three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

A teen girl says he groped her at Catholic Central High School in February 2018. Cross was 17 at the time and the girl was 15.

Cross has been free on bond. A judge ordered him to turn himself in to the jail Wednesday. He faces up to two years in prison when he is sentenced in March.

He was originally charged in connection to two cases; one of those cases was dismissed in April 2018 and the charges in the other were reduced.

Cross has been expelled from Catholic Central.
