GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Domestic assault charges against a member of the popular “Free Beer & Hot Wings” radio show have been dropped.

The charges against Joseph Gassmann were dismissed Tuesday because no complaining witnesses appeared to testify against him, DuPage County, Illinois, court records show.

Gassmann, a Chicago-area native who goes by the stage name “Producer Joe” on “Free Beer & Hot Wings,” was arrested in Naperville, Illinois, in March and charged with domestic battery after police said he assaulted his girlfriend. He pleaded not guilty.

Gassmann was suspended from the radio show after his arrest. Wednesday, “Free Beer & Hot Wings” announced Gassmann will be returning to the show Thursday.
