GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A welcome sign of summer came Friday as a new splash pad was unveiled in Grand Rapids.
The splash pad was a 10-month redevelopment project at Aberdeen Park in the city’s Creston neighborhood.
It features Michigan-themed items like a cascading Grand River, Petoskey stone, black bear, bald eagle and morel mushroom.
It will be open for the rest of the summer, and the city’s other splash pads will open June 8.
