3 suspects sought in GR liquor store armed robbery

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are searching for three suspects who robbed a Grand Rapids liquor store at gunpoint early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 1:45 a.m. at the Grandville Market, located at 944 Grandville Avenue SW north of Hall Street SW.

The Grand Rapids Police Department told 24 Hour News 8 three suspected approached the store from the east. They left the store with a black duffel bag filled with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and liquor.

The first suspect, who is described by police as a short man, was last seen wearing a blue face mask, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white shoes with a light blue stripe on the side. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. 

The second suspect is described as a taller, thin man last seen wearing black pants, blue hooded sweatshirt and a black skull face mask.

The final suspect is described as a taller, stocky man last seen wearing blue shiny shoes, dark gray sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a dark face mask.

As of 4 a.m. Tuesday, police told 24 Hour News 8 no arrests had been made in connection to the armed robbery. 

Police said there were no reports of injuries.
