GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Since spring has official arrived in Grand Rapids, the city will open its yard waste drop-off site on Monday.
The drop-off site, located at 2001 Butterworth Street SW, will open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The drop-off site is free for city residents, who will have to show an ID proving residency. Non-residents can also use it, but will have to pay a fee.
The city will also start curbside yard waste collection on Monday. It is not free – you will have to pay for tags and bags, which can be purchased at city hall, or a waste cart and tags. Curbside pickup will be the same day as your normal trash pickup day.
