Golf and Harry Potter helping children

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The 17th annual Positively Warren Golf Classic is returning to West Michigan on Monday, August 15. The event is named after Warren Reynolds, the long-time sports director at WOOD TV8 who helped raise millions of dollars for dozens of causes. The Golf Classic benefits two organizations that were near to Reynolds’ heart: the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame.

The Positively Warren Golf Classic is at Thousand Oaks Golf Club. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Click here to register online.

You can also give back to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital by joining them for Harry Potter’s birthday on July 30 at 9 p.m. It’s the Harry Potter release party at Schuler’s Books on 28th Street to celebrate the new script, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. If you purchase an event packet you will get you a copy of the book (available at midnight), entry to all of the evening’s activities, and lots of HP goodies and treats! Event proceeds support the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Pediatric Oncology Resource Team.
