ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (WOOD) — Funeral arrangement details for the two bailiffs killed during the Berrien County Courthouse shooting have been released.
According to an online obituary, Joseph Zangaro’s visitation will take place Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, located at 2650 Niles Road in St. Joseph. His celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Mendel Center.
The funeral service for Ronald Kienzle will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center, located at 1100 Yore Avenue in Benton Harbor. His visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Starks and Menchinger Chapel, located at 2650 Niles Road in St. Joseph.
Gov. Rick Snyder has also ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff Friday in honor of Zangaro.
“Chief Bailiff Zangaro dedicated much of his life to protecting and serving Michigan citizens, both as a law enforcement officer for decades and then in the courtroom,” Snyder said in a release. “I send my most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and community for this tragic loss.”
