GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Schuette will announce his running mate Wednesday morning in Grand Rapids.
A source indicated to 24 Hour News 8 that Lisa Posthumus Lyons, formerly a state representative and currently the Kent County clerk, will likely be Schuette’s choice.
Last week, Schuette revealed that he would pick a woman as his running mate, but he wouldn’t tell reporters her name.

The announcement is expected to be made at 9 a.m. at the Kent County GOP headquarters.
