SPRINGFIELD, Mich. (WOOD) — Warrants have been issued for three men who allegedly took cellphone video of them assaulting a woman.
The incident happened in the first block of Greenbriar Lane in the Wyndtree Town Homes in Springfield, according to a news release from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department.
On Jan. 15, a search warrant was executed around 3 p.m. at the apartment. Authorities found marijuana, prescription pills and firearms.
Warrants are being sought against a 24-year-old man for felonious assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, unlawful imprisonment and larceny. A 22-year-old man is wanted for possession of a short-barreled shotgun, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Police found a portion of the assault on one of the suspect’s cellphones. That 20-year-old suspect is wanted for obstructing a criminal investigation, false imprisonment and assault and battery.
The names of the suspects were not released on Wednesday.
The incident remains under investigation.
