Dance marathon for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) Hundreds of Hope College students are ready to get moving at the Hope Dance Marathon!

The annual event has taken place every year since 2000 as a fundraiser for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Last year’s marathon raised $182,187.30.

People sign up to be dancers, who dance for the entire 24 hour event. Others sign up to be moralers, who work eight hour shifts to help keep up peoples’ spirits. The event includes performers and music all night long, from Friday evening to Saturday evening.

The event takes place at the Dow Center at Hope College in Holland. It is open to the public to stop by at any time between 7 p.m. on March 11 to 5 p.m. on March 12. You can also support it by donating online or by text.
