BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) — Officials in Battle Creek have closed part of a path in a city park near a playground due to a bee infestation.
The Kalamazoo Gazette reports that the bees were discovered after members of a family walking their dogs in Linear Park were stung.
Bee hives were found in a nearby clearing. An exterminator has been contacted. Efforts to remove the bees could begin Thursday night.
No bees have been found near the playground.
