Plainwell native wins 4th NCAA swimming title

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Plainwell native Mallory Comerford won the women’s 100 freestyle at the NCAA Championships in Austin, TX on Saturday. 

Comerford won the 200 freestyle on Thursday. She has won four individual NCAA championships during her swim career at Louisville. 

Comerford was the favorite coming into Saturday night’s championship race. She was second when she kicked off the wall on her final turn, then sprinted past the field for the victory.
