CASCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Multiple departments responded to fight a fire at a rural Allegan County home on New Year’s Eve.

The fire broke out around 6 p.m. Monday on 60th Street near 111th Avenue in Casco Township, northwest of Pullman.

Crews from South Haven Area Emergency Services and Clyde, Lee and Ganges townships responded.

The home sustained severe damage, firefighters said. Photos from the scene show at least part of a structure collapsed, though it’s not clear if that was the home or an outbuilding.

SHAES says no people were hurt in the fire, but a family dog was killed.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
