KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for the driver who hit two people in Kalamazoo and then drove off Monday night.

Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called to the 1100 block of Sherwood Avenue just before 11 p.m. where they found a 32-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

Police say the woman was unresponsive but breathing, while the man was alert and conscious.

Both victims were taken to Bronson Hospital where the woman was last listed in critical condition and the man in serious condition.

The vehicle involved in the crash had left the scene before officers had arrived.

Police don’t have a lot of suspect information other than that the vehicle is either a gray or black sedan with some front end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 269.337.8994 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100 or online.
