2 arrested after attempted robbery in Comstock Twp.

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two men were arrested as they were attempting to break into an apartment in Comstock Township.

A resident at Comstock Village called police around 2 a.m. Tuesday after noticing two men trying to break into an apartment in the 3600 block of Comstock Village Lane through the rear sliding door and window.

The resident gave a detailed description of the suspects and their clothing.

As officers arrived on scene, they found the two suspects still near the sliding door.

They were taken into custody with the help of a K-9 unit. During the arrest, a pellet gun was recovered on one of the suspects.

Both of the men are being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail on several charges including attempted home invasion, felony firearms and possession of burglary tools. The names of the suspects have not been released pending arraignment.
