PLAINFIELD CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Kent County Friday morning.
Police on scene told 24 Hour News 8 that a car and pick-up truck collided on Jupiter Avenue, north of West River Drive, in Plainfield Charter Township around 6:15 a.m.
Authorities believe one of the vehicles crossed the center line and hit the oncoming vehicle, but they’re still investigating to figure out what vehicle was at-fault.
The truck flipped over as a result of the collision. Officers say the driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Jupiter Avenue was closed for more than two hours, but has since reopened.
