CALEDONIA, Mich. (WOOD) — Dyllon Hudson-Emory scored 28 points to as Davenport defeated Wisconsin-Parkside 77-74 Thursday night in men’s college basketball action.
Hudson Emory’s layup with 4:14 left was Davenport’s final field goal of the game and gave the Panthers a 71-69 lead. Davenport converted on six free throws and held off a last-second desperation shot to secure the win.
Avery Hudson added 12 points and Chris Rollins added 10 points for the 19-3 Panthers. Davenport improves to 11-3 in GLIAC play.
Davenport hosts Purdue Northwest Saturday at 3 p.m.

- Ferris State loses to Ashland, 67-56.

NO. 13 GVSU WOMEN IMPROVE TO 20-4
Four players scored in double figures as the Grand Valley State women’s basketball team defeated Purdue Northwest 84-36 Thursday night in women’s college basketball action.
Cassidy Boensch, Maddie Dailey, Jenn DeBoer, and Brooke McKinley scored 18, 14, 13, and 11 points respectively.
The Lakers improve to 13-1 in the GLIAC. GVSU hosts Wisc-Parkside Saturday at 1 p.m.
