WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grace Christian University men’s basketball team won another National Christian College Athletic Association Division II national championship Saturday.
The Wyoming college knocked off Lansing-area Great Lakes Christian 84-83.
Kellum Bridgeforth of Grand Haven hit the game-winning three-pointer with less than 10 seconds left.
It’s the team’s sixth national title under head coach Gary Bailey.
“I’m still a little in that numb stage. I haven’t thought about it,” Bailey told 24 Hour News 8. “(I’ve been) getting a lot of calls and thank yous. I don’t even remember the shot that went in before the buzzer. I was trying to get guys to get back and play defense and do other things. It’ll sink in, usually in about a week, it’ll really hit me.”
