REQUIREMENTS: WOOD TV8 and WOODTV.COM is looking for a highly organized, motivated, and forward-thinking administrative assistant to support our executive and community affairs management teams. This role is more than displaying a professional image for our company and enjoying the face-to-face interactions with our viewers, visitors and community partners. It’s about possessing outstanding communication, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills and seeing big picture projects through from the start. Writing will be a critical component to the job, assisting a growing department in reaching all corners of the community. We are looking for a self-starter who can take direction and learn while creating and collaborating across different departments.
Candidate must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint for creating presentations, managing basic databases and departmental reporting, as well as a desire to contribute by writing and organizing material for platforms such as newsletters, websites, business communications and business use of social media. Marketing or media educational background and an interest in community outreach efforts is a plus. Other duties as assigned by Manager.
