Drive-up COVID-19 testing site opens in Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — North Ottawa Community Health System has opened a  drive-up COVID-19 testing center in Grand Haven.

The site will be located at 1099 S. Beacon Boulevard. Officials say testing will be by appointment only because testing capacity is extremely limited.

People are asked to call 616.935.7810 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to determine if they meet screening criteria for testing.


CORONAVIRUS RESOURCES

Ottawa County has one recorded case of COVID-19. The patient was being treated at Holland Hospital and was discharged Monday. The patient will be monitored by the Ottawa County Department of Public Health, according to a hospital spokesperson.

On Saturday, Spectrum Health opened a drive-thru COVID-19 specimen collection site at 1300 Michigan St. Grand Rapids. It’s only open to those who have been pre-screened and approved for further testing.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there are 56 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Michigan.
