It’s almost time for the 40th Annual West Michigan Home and Garden Show. It is returning to DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids.

The theme of this year’s show is “Colorful Encounters.” All the landscapers have designed their gardens around that theme. Show goers can vote on their favorite theme.

More than 300 local businesses and 400 exhibitors will be at this year’s event.

“You can do anything and everything that you want. Whether you’re interested in gardening and landscaping or if you’re interested in home improvement and remodeling or you just have a repair, you can come down to the Home and Garden Show,” said senior show manager Carolyn Alt.

The House Plant Guru, Lisa Eldred Steinkopf, is crazy about houseplants!  Indulge your desire to cultivate gorgeous indoor gardens and join The Houseplant Guru at the Home Stage, where she will present three terrific seminars: Cultivating Your Green Thumb: Indoors; Succulents 101; and The Facts of Light.

Garden Stage headliner William Cullina, is the Director of North America’s newest and most exciting public gardens, The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine.  Bill will present two seminars over the weekend.

Ellen Ecker Ogden headlines the Garden to Table Stage, with seminars on Kitchen Gardens based on classic garden design techniques that anyone can follow.  She will introduce you to easy maintenance and new varieties of food and flowers to grow that offer you the best flavor and old-fashioned charm.
