Summer energy saving tips

July is forecasted to be 6 percent warmer than June, which can increase energy bills.

>>> Take a look in the video above for tips on how to save money!

1) Check H-V-A-C filters monthly, especially during summer. Change filters regularly – dirty filters make the system work harder and waste energy.

2) Purchase ENERGY STAR equipment and appliances. The ENERGY STAR®-certified mark indicates the most energy-efficient water heaters and cooking equipment. They use less energy than standard models, saving business owners money on their energy bills.

3) Use a programmable thermostat. Programmable thermostats are ideal for areas that are unoccupied during set periods of time throughout the week. Stock rooms, warehouses and other spaces that have minimal traffic should be kept warmer in the summer.
