Students celebrate giving back to the community

IONIA, Mich. (WOOD) The Ionia County Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a motivated group of high school students from Ionia, Belding, Portland, Lakewood, Saranac, and Lowell High Schools. These students meet on a once-per-month basis to plan, develop, and implement service-learning projects. The students work to give back throughout the year, and make a positive change in their community.

Because of the immense work students put forth during the school year, the participants came together to celebrate. State Farm representatives were also in attendance to present a large check to help students continue positive work throughout the community.
