Special dogs making all the difference

WAYLAND, Mich. (WOOD) Amazing puppies who will become service dogs for Paws With A Cause need your help. Paws is looking for people to foster puppies and train them to be assistance dogs for people with disabilities.

Families who raise service dogs for Paws With A Cause live with the dogs for 18 months, starting at eight weeks old. The main goal of volunteers is to get the dogs used to public settings, along with working with obedience training. They are encouraged to take their puppy out in public and involve them in their everyday life. No dog training experience is required.

If you’re interested, the best way to learn more is to come to an orientation. You can find Information on the Paws With A Cause website or call 800-253-7297 and ask to speak to the foster puppy coordinator.
