GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD)- We’ve been bringing you updates about the Grand Rapids Rise Professional Volleyball team that’s set to start its season in January. Rise Academy is the newest division under the Michigan Volleyball Academy umbrella, and it will encompass only the most competitive West Michigan athletes and teams. This partnership is a first of its kind in the volleyball world, and they hope to create a visible pathway that will inspire the next generation to reach for big goals, possibly playing professionally.
