GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Our celebration of Women’s History Month continues today, and we’re so excited to shine a well deserved spotlight on women who are making a big difference in West Michigan.
They are all remarkable and their stories will inspire you! So we have another we’d like to share today: Sarah McGarry is the owner of C&R Homestyle Restaurant in Lake Odessa.
She’s also a weight lifting coach who uses her passion for helping others to make a positive impact in the community.
>>>Take a look!
Sarah has a huge heart, and helps when and where she is able. She has supplied food, gift cards, prizes, sponsorships and fund raisers for many different activities in the Lakewood area, from the demo derby to the school sports teams. She adopts a family in need every year at Christmas to supply gifts to the kids in the family, that they may experience a little joy at Christmas. On top of all this, she still manages to get our kids up and off to school each morning, and take another student to school as well. She is so selfless in her time, self-sacrificing in her love and care of everyone around her. When I married her a little over 20 years ago, I had no idea then just how remarkable she was. I knew she was awesome, fun, and my love, but I had no idea she was really Wonder Woman.
