GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) With school just around the corner, kids and parents and their grandparents are looking for some ways to have fun before it’s time to hit the books. Grandma on the Go Joy Walczak found a spot where she could channel her youth while challenging her granddaughter to learn a new skill.
Tarry Hall Roller Rink is a skating rink that is fun for people from as early as they can walk all the way up to competitive skating. They offer skating lessons, public skating, and are part of the West Michigan Wolverines, a speed skating team that travels all over the country and even internationally.
Beginning skating lessons start October 29 and the rink is open for public skating Friday nights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Participants can bring their own skates or rent skates. An adult can come to a skating lesson for free with a paid child.
Kids can also earn free skating passes for getting As! Just bring in your current report card and they’ll give you one from skating pass for three As and two free skating passes for four As. If you get straight As, your whole family can skate for free!
