Jazz Festival returns to the lakeshore


MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) A celebration of music returns to Heritage Landing in Muskegon with the third annual Alexander Zonjic’s Shoreline Jazz Festival August 25 through 28.

The Shoreline Jazz Festival features headliners Jeffrey Osborne, The Ohio Players, Brian Culbertson, Bob James, Spyro Gyra and Najee, along with four days of music by the top musicians in contemporary jazz, funk and soul.

The festival is the dream child of nationally known jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic, who has been a major force and beloved performer in the world of contemporary jazz for more than three decades.

For the first time this year, the festival will include a preview concert on Thursday, August 25. With the support of the West Michigan Symphony, Alexander Zonjic and his Band will play a concert at The Block in Muskegon at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a free Concert in the Park at Hackley Park in Downtown Muskegon on Friday, August 26, featuring Alexander Zonjic with his Band and special guest Eric Darius. And on Saturday, August 27, when the last act has left the stage at Heritage Park, the fun moves to the After Party Jam at the Holiday Inn Main Ballroom featuring Alexander Zonjic, his band and Eric Darius, jamming with Festival Artists dropping by!

General admission to the Alexander Zonjic’s Shoreline Jazz Festival is $30 per day (bring your own chair) and $50 for both days. A limited number of preferred seats are available for $60 per day and $100 for both days (closest to the stage chairs provided).
