WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) June 23 is the first of six Maranda Park Parties happening across West Michigan in the summer of 2016.
The season kicks off at Lamar Park in Wyoming, but Maranda got summer started a little early with a pop-up Park Party in Flint on June 17. She was inspired to help families and the community of Flint in light of the water crisis, providing them with an afternoon of free family fun.>>> Photos: Maranda Park Party in Flint
Back in West Michigan, the Maranda team is gearing up for a great season of Park Parties! Each party can’t be done without amazing partnerships that help make each Park Party extra special. In Wyoming, Grand Rapids First Church shows up in a big way! It brings hundreds of volunteers, provides free haircuts, and hands out 5,000 popsicles. The church family loves to find ways to serve the Wyoming community, and helping supersize the Wyoming Park Party is one of those ways.
Another great partnership is with Ferris State University. That team is rolling in with a brand new 3D climbing wall that kids will love! The special design allows three different climbers to use it at once, each side with unique challenges.
Bring a bag of new or gently used items to the Wyoming Park Party to donate to Bethany Christian Services and receive a free Entertainment Book filled with valuable coupons!
The party kicks off at noon at Lamar Park in Wyoming on Thursday, June 23. Free lunches for anyone 18 and under start at 11:30 a.m., while supplies last. Everyone is invited and everything is free!>>> Show the love for Maranda Park Parties and win a $25 gift certificate to Celebration! Cinemas!
