G.R. Symphony pays tribute to Louis Armstrong


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The Grand Rapids Symphony is celebrating the life and art of Louis Armstrong with a special tribute.

What a Wonderful World: Louis Armstrong Tribute” takes place at DeVos Performance Hall on January 22, 23, and 24. The performance features the music of trumpeter and singer Byron Stripling and singer Marva Hicks. There are three shows: Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and a matinee on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tickets start at $18 and are available via Ticketmaster, online at GRSymphony.org, at the Symphony office, DeVos Place Box Office, by calling (616) 454-9451 extension 4, or on the day of the concert beginning two hours prior to the performance.
