Event gives back to the medical community

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The Kent County Medical Society Alliance has quietly raised $1.25 million through the years and is getting ready for some exciting changes to its biggest event of the year.

The KCMS Alliance is a group that helps with health and wellness of people, families, and organizations in Kent County.

This year’s Dose of Generosity Charity Event is making some changes with a casual chic dress code and silent auction with a twist. This year, the event will benefit Family Promise and the YWCA Nurse Examiner Program. It is on Saturday, January 30, at 6:30 p.m. at New Vintage Place in Grand Rapids. It is $125 per person. Tickets are available online. If you can’t make it to the event, cash donations are also accepted online for Family Promise and the YWCA NEP program.

The KCMS Alliance accepts new members at any time of the year. It also accepts mini grant ($2,000 or less) requests four times a year and will be awarding those in March and April. Visit their website for more information and to apply.
