Compassionate Heart Ministries providing place of fun for all abilities

eightWest

This week you take part in a night of fun and give back to a great cause as you’re invited help support Compassionate Heart Ministries, a local non-profit that is working to provide a place to have fun, for people of all abilities.  Today we have Donna Bunce, Courtney Scheuerman and Cheryl Scheuerman here to tell us about their organization and the event.

Compassionate Heart Ministries is a drop-in center for teens and young adults with mild to moderate disabilities. If parents are looking for a place for their son or daughter to make friends and have fun opportunities with their peers, then check them out! Donna Bunce started Compassionate Heart in 2007, her son is cognitively impaired with autism and he was the inspiration for the organization.

They have a big event coming on May 16, it is their Friends of the Heart fundraising event and they want to encourage families who have a child with special needs to come and take it all in.
